An Indian national died after falling sick at a hotel in Dhaka’s Mirpur area on Saturday.
The deceased, identified as Akbar Ali Mondol, 38, from Murshidabad, West Bengal, was part of a group of six friends who had arrived in Dhaka for a tour.
His friend Farjul Mondol said they checked into the hotel at 7 pm on Friday and shared a room.
Akbar reportedly screamed and fell unconscious in sleep and his friends immediately rushed him to Mirpur 2 Heart Foundation Hospital.
As his condition deteriorated he was transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital at 4:10 am where doctors declared him dead.
The police outpost at Dhaka Medical College Hospital confirmed the death .
