The 14th International Women’s SME Expo 2024 starts in Chattogram today. It will be held at the port city’s Railway Pologround.

The month-long women’s mega trade event will be held under the auspices of Chattogram Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CWCCI) in cooperation with SME Foundation.

A total of 350 stalls, including 15 pavilions and information technology zones, have already been set up on four lakh square feet of area at the venue.
There will be a women’s zone, a food court, and a zone for startups for small entrepreneurs.

The information was revealed by Abida Mostafa, senior vice-president of Chattogram Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, at a press conference at Engineer Abdul Khalek Auditorium of Chattogram Press Club on Friday.

Chattogram Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Manowara Hakim Ali replied to various questions of journalists.

Abida said with the aim of marketing the products of women entrepreneurs in the region, they had organised a month-long Eid Bazaar on the BAWA school grounds in the last five years since 2020.

“Since then, we have been organising the International Women SME Expo at the Pologround for 13 years. The fair has become the largest fair organised by women entrepreneurs in the country,” she added.

Entrepreneurs from Iran, India, China, Thailand, and Pakistan have confirmed their participation in the fair.
