Palak opens free eye camp at Singra

State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak today inaugurated a free eye camp at Gol-E-Afroz Government College ground where around 4,000 patients received treatment free of cost through registration. Al-Basher International Foundation arranged it with the association of Singra Diabetic Association and Mecca Hospital.

Palak, also a lawmaker from Natore-3 (Singra), said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had included health service in the country's Constitution as one of five fundamental rights of its citizens 50 years back.

Following the footprints of Bangabandhu, his daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been making her all-out efforts to ensure healthcare for all with the optimum utilization of technology.

People have been able to receive telemedicine facilities because of advanced technologies, he mentioned. Al-Basher Foundation's country director Dr Ahmed Tahir Hamid and member Dr Salman and National Board of Revenue (NBR) second secretary Md Golam Kibria also spoke.
