Kurigram Zila Parishad Shishu Park situated at Old Hospital Para under Kurigram municipality was inaugurated in the evening on Sunday (December 04). Chairman of Kurigram Zila Parishad and also former MP Alhaj Mohammad Jafar Ali was formally inaugurated the Shishu Park as the chief guest while chairman of Sadar upazila parishad Aman Uddin Ahmed Monju and Mayor of Kurigram municipality Kaziul Islam were special guests and Chief Executive Officer(CEO) Md. Faridul Islam was presided in the function.
The members of Zila Parishad Minhajul Islam Aiyub,Jahir Uddin,Sheuly Begum,Masuda Daizy,vic president of district unit of AL Sayed Hasan Loban,political leader Falguni Tarafder, Mayor of Kurigram municipality Kaziul Islam, councellor of the municipality Rostom Ali Tota,president of Kurigram Press Club Raju Mostafiz, channei-I correspondent Shamol Bhoumik,principal of Kurigrak Alea Kamil Madrasha, princilpal of Kurigram government college Mirza Nishir Uddin spoke among others in the function.
The speakers said that there is no shishu park in Kurigram. So a shishu park very essential for recreation of our children here which was a demand for common people for long. The dream is going to be materialized today. Several rides will be set up here in part-1 then it will be beautiful to look at.
Assistant Engineer of Zila Parishad Md. Mijanur Rahman said the estimated cost of the park at taka one crore thirty nine lakh and the contract price at taka one crore twenty five lakh in the fiscal 2020-2021.The implementation of 2ns part of the shishu part will start soon. Then the park will very attractive and an enjoyable place. At the end of meeting an attractive cultural function was also held.
