On Monday (12 February) two persons were killed when a train dashed their firewood-laden trolley at a railway crossing at Mohanpur area under Paba Upazila in the district here this afternoon.
Abdul Karim, Rajshahi Railway Station Master, said the deceased were identified as trolley driver Mofazzal Hossain, 35, and its helper Habibur Rahman, 23.
He also said they felt into the fatal accident when they got into the railway track with trolley, while the Dhaka-bound Padma express was passing the area at around 4.15 pm.
Both of them died on the spot.
