Over 2.25-cr doses Covid-19 jabs vaccinated in Rangpur

A total of two crore 25 lakh 44 thousand and 840 doses of Covid-19 jabs were vaccinated till Tuesday in Rangpur division where the pandemic situation continues improving fast in recent weeks.

Health officials said the Covid-19 vaccination campaign continues smoothly through inoculation of eligible citizens with the Covid-19 jabs in all eight districts of the division.

Citizens are being vaccinated with five types of Covid-19 jabs from different companies like Moderna, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Pfizer-BioNTech and Sinovac across the division.

"Till Tuesday, a total of 1,32,64,140 people got the first dose of Covid-19 jabs, and of them, 88,35,741 got the second dose and 4,44,967 got the booster dose," Divisional Director (Health) Dr Abu Md Zakirul Islam told BSS.

The first dose recipient 1,32,64,140 citizens include 39,29,609 people vaccinated with AstraZeneca Covid-19 jabs, 19,63,175 with Pfizer Covid-19 jabs, 52,19,523 people with Sinopharm Covid-19 jabs, 1,31,876 with Moderna
Covid-19 jabs and 20,19,957 with Sinovac Covid-19 jabs.

The second dose recipient 88,35,741 citizens include 22,57,026 people inoculated with AstraZeneca Covid-19 jabs, 15,49,776 with Pfizer Covid-19 jabs, 48,92,832 with Sinopharm Covid-19 jabs, 1,27,554 with Moderna Covid-19 jabs and 8,545 with Sinovac Covid-19 jabs.

"Meanwhile, the 4,44,967 booster dose recipients include 4,37,794 vaccinated with AstraZeneca Covid-19 jabs, 9,823 with Pfizer Covid-19 jabs and 3,090 with Moderna Covid-19 jabs," Dr. Islam added.
