The budget for Thakurgaon Zilla Parishad for the financial year 2023-24 was announced with a total income and expenditure of 35 crores 66 lahks, 43 thousand 415 taka.
The budget session took place in the hall of the district council on Sunday (25 June). Ramesh Chandra Sen, a member of the Bangladesh A-League advisory board and Member of Parliament of Thakurgaon-1 Constituency, delivered a speech during the budget ceremony. The ceremony was organized by Thakurgaon Zilla Parishad and chaired by Zilla Parishad Chairman and Zilla Awami League President Muh Sadek Quraishi.
Several notable individuals were present at the ceremony, including Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer (Acting) Ramakrishna Barman, Baliadangi Upazila Chairman Ali Aslam Jewel, Pirganj Municipality Mayor Ekramul Haque, Zilla Parishad Member and District Jubo League General Secretary Debashish Dutta Sameer, Member Afsana Begum, Mosha: Sabina Yasmin, Shamsuzzaman Shanto, Mostafizur Rahman, assistant engineer Ezaharul Haque, deputy assistant engineer Zakir Hossain, accountant Dilip Kumar Roy, and others.
This budget announcement outlines the financial plans and allocations of Thakurgaon Zilla Parishad for the upcoming fiscal year, indicating the projected income and proposed expenses for various development projects and administrative needs in the district.
