After spending a decade in Dhallywood, Pori Moni has now set foot in Tollywood. Making an announcement in early March, the popular Bangladeshi heroine has geared up for a mystery-thriller film titled 'Feluboxi'.
Although it bears a hint of the famous detective character Feluda's name, the story is not from that series; rather, it's a new take. The film is directed by Indian filmmaker Debaraj Sinha.
It was previously revealed that Pori is joined by two popular Kolkata actors, Soham Chakraborty and Madhumita Sarcar, in the film. According to sources from local media, the shooting of the film started on Friday.
Before that, on Thursday, the looks of the artists were finalised. Their character looks were then revealed publicly. In 'Feluboxi', Pori Moni is portraying the character of Labonyo. Her revealed look shows the actress wearing a black T-shirt with jeans. On top is a red sweater. Her tied hair and sunglasses portray strong determination.
What made Pori agree to do this film? She answered, “When I read the character of Labonyo, I felt confident that I could portray it well. That's why I'm doing this character. How well I have been able to do it, the audience will tell."
Meanwhile, Pori Moni's followers are going gaga over her character look in 'Feluboxi'. Her post has received nearly 70,000 reactions within just 18 hours, along with thousands of positive comments.
Soham is playing the main character in this film, who keeps up with all the latest news and happenings around the world. At the same time, he solves various mysteries. And Pori is at the core of that mystery in the story, as revealed by director Debaraj.
