Nawba Tahiya capturing hearts of viewers

Nawba Tahiya is quickly becoming a favourite among Bangladeshi drama enthusiasts. Viewers who have watched even one of her performances are captivated by her acting skills, leading them to seek out her other works on YouTube. This growing fan base is steadily establishing Nawba as a beloved actress in the industry.

From the beginning of her career, Nawba has been fortunate to receive compelling scripts and characters that resonate with her. Her journey began as a child presenter on BTV's children's programme ‘Kanone Kusum Koli.’ She later transitioned to acting, making her debut in BTV's weekly drama ‘Ferar Galpo’ as the lead character Borsha. This performance, based on a story by Kazi Nurul Huda Jahangir and produced by Sahriar Mohammad Hasan, brought her immediate recognition as a promising newcomer.

Nawba's portfolio includes notable performances in BTV dramas such as ‘Adalat,’ ‘Moddhobitto,’ and ‘Swapno Mrityu Bhalobasa.’ However, her breakthrough role came in the drama "Chupi Chupi," directed by Imraul Rafat, which garnered over 150 million views. Her unique portrayal in this series, opposite Niloy Alamgir, significantly boosted her popularity.

Other acclaimed works featuring Nawba include ‘Salish,’ ‘Meghphul,’ ‘Prothom Premer Banan Bhul’ (a short film), ‘Bunohas,’ ‘Bisorjon,’ ‘Boddo Maya Lage,’ ‘Sohojatri,’ and ‘Jed.’ She has frequently been paired with actor Partha Sheikh, forming a duo that viewers have come to admire.

Currently a higher secondary student at a college in Dhaka Cantonment, Nawba aspires to take on more challenging roles in the future. She aims to earn the trust of directors and increase her fan base through dedicated performances. “I want to internalise every character I portray and become a complete actress,” Nawba said, expressing her ambition.
