Today ( Tuesday,11 July) is the birthday of National Film Award-winning popular actress Dilara Hanif Purnima. Since her journey started with director Zakir Hossain Raju’s ‘E Jibon Tomar Amar’ in 1998, the actress has been showing her versatility on the silver screen.
Being at the peak of popularity, Purnima has come up with many audience-admired movies in her career.
Regarding her birthday, Purnima said, “No special plan on this year’s birthday. I will spend time with my family as usual. I don’t want to share more about it. I request everyone to keep me in their prayers. And, if I do something new, my audience and fans will definitely know about that.’’
She said about her work, "I received several offers before this year’s Eid-ul-Azha. Some filmmakers wanted to send scripts. But I didn’t respond as I decided to take a break from the work. I am only doing stage show regularly during this break.’’
Hailing from Chattogram, Purnima has made a firm position in the film industry with her beauty and brain. Some of her notable films include ‘Nisshashe Tumi Bisshashe Tumi’, ‘Hridoyer Kotha’, ‘Dhoka’, ‘Shami Strir Juddho’, ‘Megher Pore Megh’, ‘Shasti, Moner Sathe Juddho’, ‘Akash Chowa Bhalobasha’ and ‘Poran Jay Joliyare’.
Alongside receiving numerous awards from different organizations, Purnima was recognized with the National Film Award for her role in the film ‘Ora Amake Valo Hote Dilona’.
