BNP Standing Committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy said, "BNP cannot be kept quiet by fear, resistance will be built." The government will not be able to do it by torture. It will fall like the Pakistanis.

He said these in a discussion meeting at the Auditorium of the Institute of Engineers in Ramna of the capital on Tuesday (20 February) afternoon. Zamir Uddin Sarkar, a member of the party's standing committee, was the chief guest at this discussion meeting of BNP on the occasion of International Mother Language Day.

Commenting that democracy is now dead in the country, Abdul Moin Khan, a member of the BNP standing committee, said, "We have been agitating for one and a half years to restore democracy and restore people's rights." We were, are, and will be on the streets to bring back democracy and human rights.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, there has been an allegation of blocking the entry of leaders and workers in this discussion meeting of the International Mother Language Day on behalf of BNP. Advisor to BNP Chairperson Zainul Abdin Farooq said, "Although permission was obtained, senior leaders including Selima Rahman were not allowed to enter the hall of the event for 45 minutes."
