This time Managing Director of Universal Medical College and Hospital Dr Ashis Kumar Chakraborty has taken an initiative to arrange a concert of popular band musician Maqsoodul Haque titled ‘Maqsood 45 Years in Music.’ The concert will be held at Krishibid Institute of Bangladesh (KIB) Auditorium in the capital’s Khamarbari area on March 18.
This was announced by Dr Ashis Kumar Chakraborty at a press conference held at Universal Medical College and Hospital Auditorium in the city’s Mohakhali area on Thursday. Noted singer Maqsood along with President of BAMBA and owner of band Miles Hamin Ahmed, leader of band Feedback and noted music director Foad Nasser Babu, Deputy Director of the hospital Md Kazi Rafiqul Alam, among others, were present at the conference.
While sharing his feelings to perform in this concert, singer Maqsood told this correspondent, “In a life of a singer 45 years do not come in one day. But it came to my life. I joined Feedback in 1978. From that point of view, I have reached into 45 years of my career in music. Dr Ashis is introduced with me for more than three decades.
I wished him to arrange such a concert to mark 45 years of my musical career. Dr Ashis is not only a doctor but also a cultural minded person. After knowing my wish, he agreed to arrange the concert and his hospital is also came forward.”
