James, one of the most popular band singers in Bangladesh, enthralled the audience with a mesmerizing performance at Amazura Hall in Jamaica, New York on Sunday. The concert was part of his ongoing tour across different parts of the USA.
The event attracted a huge crowd of James fans from various states, creating a heavy traffic jam on the streets of New York. The police and security personnel had a hard time managing the situation. Bangladeshi singer Dinat Jahan Munni shared her experience in a Facebook post.
“I witnessed a traffic jam in a foreign country for an artiste who came from my country. It was unbelievable to me that the police had to struggle to handle the crowd. It felt like the entire area of Jamaica's Amazura Hall turned into a little Bangladesh. The traffic police of New York were busy handling the long queue of people and the rush of cars,” Munni wrote.
She also expressed her pride and admiration for James. “I used to dream that an artiste from our country could surprise everyone like foreign artistes. My dreams came true yesterday (Sunday). I’m proud that we have James, and I'm also proud that an area of New York was buzzing with excitement only for James. Tears came to my eyes because of this happiness. James represents my country and my song. James, you are our pride.”
James performed 13 songs in the concert, including his popular track 'Beeghi Beeghi'.
The organisers of the concert said that the 1500-seat Amazura Hall was packed with spectators. Another four hundred people enjoyed the concert standing.
Alamgir Khan Alam, the owner of Show Time Music, said, “James has come to New York after almost five years, so people from different states came to this concert. We suffered a lot under the pressure of the audience.”
