Mokhlesur Rahman, principal of Sadullapur degree college and also district correspondent of a famous English daily the Bangladesh Observer, passed away at Rangpur Medical College Hospital in Rangpur on Tuesday (5 March) morning.
He was 86. He left behind his two sons, two daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
Earlier, in the morning Mokhlesur Rahman sustained burn injuries at his home town located at Paschimpara of the town and was admitted to RMCH, where he succumbed to his injuries.
He was buried at the graveyard of Gaibandha Municipality following a namaz-e-janaza after Maghrib prayers.
Mokhlesur was elected MP from Gaibandha-3 constituency (Palashbari- Sadullapur upazila) besides, he was the chairman of Palashbari upazila parishad.
