Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Saber Hossain Chowdhury said Bangladesh and European Investment Bank will strengthen environmental and economic collaboration in the days to come.
"We look forward to a future of robust collaboration that not only addresses climate change but also promotes sustainable economic growth for the people of Bangladesh," he said.
Saber said this during a bilateral meeting with Nicola Beer, Vice President of the European Investment Bank (EIB), on Wednesday in Luxembourg, the financial and banking hub of Europe, according to a message received here.
Nicola Beer commended the holistic approach presented during the meeting, highlighting its potential to simultaneously tackle climate change and spur economic development.
"We welcome this comprehensive strategy to connect the fight against climate change with economic growth, ultimately benefiting Bangladeshi citizens," said Beer.
This meeting marks a pivotal step in the continued cooperation between Bangladesh and the European Investment Bank, aiming to deliver impactful results in the fight against climate change while fostering economic prosperity
