US-Bangla flight begins in Abu Dhabi

Bangladesh's private airline has created history by launching flights to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates for the first time. On Friday (19 April), Bangladesh has created a unique precedent in the history of aviation and private airlines. Currently, US-Bangla has started flights to Abu Dhabi, the third destination of the United Arab Emirates, one of the friendly countries of the Middle East after Dubai and Sharjah.

As part of the future plans, due to the demand of expatriate Bangladeshis, US-Bangla, one of the country's leading airlines, will leave Abu Dhabi from Dhaka on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday and from Chattogram on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday at 5.50 pm for Abu Dhabi. It will land at 9:10 PM local time in Abu Dhabi.

It will leave Abu Dhabi at 10:00 PM local time and land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and at 4:50 AM at Hazrat Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram on Monday, Thursday and Saturday.

Boeing 737-800 with 174 passengers took off from Chattogram to Abu Dhabi at 5:50 pm today as the inaugural US-Bangla flight. It will reach Abu Dhabi today at 9:10 PM local time as per the scheduled time. And will fly to Dhaka at 10:10 PM local time from Abu Dhabi tonight and land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 4:50 AM.

As a friendly country, the decision to operate US-Bangla flights to Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, will further strengthen the ties between the two countries. Senior officials of US-Bangla Airlines bid farewell to the passengers in Dhaka and Chattogram before the Abu Dhabi flight.

Apart from Dubai, Sharjah, currently one of the destinations in the Middle East, Muscat, Doha, Kuala Lumpur inhabited by expatriate Bangladeshis, Singapore, Male, one of the tourist-friendly destinations Bangkok and one of the commercial cities of China, Guangzhou, neighboring countries Kolkata and Chennai in India are operating flights to US-Bangla Airlines. Apart from international routes, US-Bangla Airlines is operating domestic flights especially from Dhaka to Cox's Bazar, Chattogram, Sylhet, Saidpur, Jashore and Rajshahi.

It should be noted here that a total of 11 flights per week have been started from April 19 with additional four flights on Dhaka to Chennai route.
