A Chinese interlining and garments accessories manufacturing company is going to invest $22.92 million at the BEPZA Economic Zone (BEPZA EZ) located at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Shilpa Nagar in Chattogram’s Mirsharai.

In presence of Executive Chairman Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman of Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA), an agreement was signed on Tuesday with Sanxin Accessories Limited at the BEPZA Complex, said a press release.

BEPZA member (investment promotion) Md Ashraful Kabir and Chairman of Sanxin Accessories Li Li signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.

The foreign-owned company will produce interlining, lace, TC pocketing/printing, granule, and hot melt adhesive powder. It will create employment opportunities for 2,346 Bangladeshi workers.

The BEPZA executive chairman thanked the company for choosing BEPZA EZ as its investment destination. He hoped that the company would start the construction of the factory as soon as possible and commence commercial production.
