BRAC Bank has opened a new Sub-Branch at Charpara in Mymensingh. With this inauguration, BRAC Bank takes its sub-branch network to Mymensingh Division for the first time.
BRAC Bank’s most modern services will bring a new opportunity for business and individual customers in the economically vibrant location of Charpara under Mymensingh City Corporation, according to a press release.
Syed Abdul Momen, Deputy Managing Director & Head of SME Banking, BRAC Bank, formally inaugurated the sub-branch at Minsa Tower, Holding No 5/A, Sehra Road, Kotowali, in Mymensingh City on September 5, 2023.
A.K.M.Tareq, Senior Zonal Head; Taher Hasan Al Mamun, Senior Zonal Head; Nazrul Islam, Head of Small Business (South); Tunvir Rahman, Regional Head, Dhaka North and Mymensingh Region; and other senior officials from the bank attended the inauguration ceremony.
BRAC Bank introduced the Sub-Branch Network in 2022 as part of its multi-channel distribution strategy, aiming to bring the best banking services to customers across the country. The Sub-Branch operations are authorized by the Bangladesh Bank.
At the Sub-Branch in Charpara, customers can avail themselves of a range of banking services, including account opening, cash deposit and withdrawal, deposit pension scheme, fund transfer using EFTN and RTGS, remittance service, utility bill payment, credit card, student file, consumer loan, debit card and chequebook processing, Astha App enrollment, school banking, savings instruments, and many more, except for foreign exchange services.
Establishing the Sub-Branch is part of BRAC Bank's commitment to reach out to more people and cover more localities as part of its multi-channel strategy. The bank is firmly dedicated to promoting financial inclusion by expanding its semi-urban and rural networks. BRAC Bank aims to rapidly expand its Sub-Branch network throughout the country in the coming years and aims to become a leader in this segment.
