Election campaign gains momentum in Bhola

The ongoing 12th parliamentary election campaign has gained momentum in four constituencies of Bhola district, marked by enthusiasm and a festive mood in the final days leading up to the polls.

A total of 16 candidates are in the race for the upcoming parliamentary election in the seven upazilas of Bhola district.

Ruling Awami League party candidates expressed satisfaction, noting that no untoward incidents occurred among the supporters or activists of the contesting parties during the campaign anywhere in Bhola district.

In Bhola-1 constituency, Awami League candidate Tofail Ahmed M.P., an advisory committee member of the Awami League, visited different villages as part of mass contact with voters. He attended street rallies every day from morning to night, urging voters to go to polling centers bravely and cast their votes in a free and fair atmosphere on the next 7th of January.

Other candidates in this constituency include Siddiqur Rahman of JSD and Md. Shajahan of Jatiya Party.

In Bhola-2 constituency, which consists of Borhanuddin and Daulatkhan upazilas, Awami League candidate Ali Azam Mukul M.P. and other party candidates such as M. Gaj Nobi of Jatiya Party, M. Asaduzzaman of Bangladesh Congress, and M. Shams Uddin of Tarikat Federation continue their poll campaign without any disturbance.

In Bhola-3 constituency, covering Lalmohon and Tajum Uddin Upazilas, candidates continue their campaign without hindrance. The ruling party candidate in this constituency is Nur Nobi Chawdhury Shaon M.P. of Awami League, with other candidates including Maj (Retd) M. Jasim Uddin (independent), M. Alamgir (Bangladesh Congress), and M. Kamal Uddin (Jatiya Party).

Bhola-4 constituency includes Charfassion and Monpura upazilas. In this constituency, the Awami League candidate is Abdullah Al Islam Jakob M.P., and other contesting candidates are M. Alauddin (People's Party), M. Hanif (Trinomul BNP), Mizanur Rahman (Jatiya Party), and Abul Foij (independent).
All the contesting candidates express satisfaction with the current law and order situation, and they hope for satisfactory voter turnout at the polling centers on the day of the election.
