On Friday (19 January), a bus hit a leguna on the Dhaka-Gopalganj highway in Faridpur's Bhanga upazila, killing four people and injuring five more.
According to Bhanga Circle Additional Superintendent of Police Talat Mahmud Shahanshah, a Dhaka-bound Sohag Paribahan bus collided into the back of a leguna in the Kharakandi region of the highway at 7.30 pm, killing four passengers on the scene.
"Two injured people have been brought to Faridpur Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital in critical condition. "The remaining three have been admitted to Bhanga Upazila Health Complex," he stated.
The victims are yet to be identified, he added.
