General secretary of Narayanganj City unit Awami League, Advocate Khokon Shaha advised journalists not to speak and write the truth in order to avoid being accused in a false case on the charge of telling the truth.
He made this comment after coming out corridor of Narayanganj court on Sunday (11 February) afternoon.
He said that because of telling the truth, he has been walking around the court balcony as an accused of false case since 2021 even as a lawyer in the Digital Security Act case filed against him by Narayanganj City Corporation Mayor Dr. Selina Hayat Ivy.
It may mentioned that on January 4, 2021, Mayor Dr. Selina Hyat Ivy filed the case under section 25, 27, 28, 29, 31 and 35 of the Digital Security Act of 2018 in response to allegations of encroachment of Hindu property on basis of a YouTube channel named "Hindu Lives Matter" hosted by Canadian expatriate Pradeep Das.
