A headmaster of a school was crushed to death under the wheels of a truck in Gaibandha’s Dinajpur-Gobindaganj highway’s Kata area.
The deceased, Lutfor Rahman (55) was the headmaster of Bairagihat Govt Primary School.
The accident occurred around 9:30 am on Saturday (17 February) when the man was on his way to the local kitchen market.
According to his family, he was on his way to Gobindaganj’s market to buy groceries for his son’s wedding reception program.
According to locals, the speedy truck ran over his motorcycle and fled the scene, leaving him dead on the spot.
Immediately after the accident, the family members took his body home, said Matiur Rahman, in charge of the Bairagi Hat Police Investigation Centre of Gobindaganj Police Station.
