A 38-year-old man was hacked to death by some miscreants at Neura in Cumilla city early Saturday (24 February). Local people spotted the body of Shah Alam, son of Nuru Mia of Chartha Thira, in the areaand informed police who recovered the body.
The body bore several injury marks on the head and neck which was sent to Cumilla Medical College and hospital morgue for autopsy, said Alamgir Bhuiya, officer-in-charge of Sadar Dakkhin Model Police Station.
The motive behind the killing could not be known immediately.
