Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested four youths while taking ganja during a raid in Chapainawabganj town area early today.
The arrestees were Md. Pavel Ali, 26, Md. Hamim alias Salman, 29 both of PTI slum, Md. Salim, 27 of Masjidpara and Shree Kartik Karmokar, 30 of Shibtala Malopara, all under Chapainawabganj sadar upazila.
RAB said acting on a tip off, an operation team conducted a raid at a place adjacent to Beltala mosque at Shibtala intersection in Chapainawabganj municipality around 12:05 am and arrested them while they were taking hemp.
They are also accused of snatching, extortion and showdown with arms.
Later, RAB handed them over to the Chapainawabganj sadar police station after filing a case.
