Seva Hospital of Dhap area of Rangpur has been sealed by the mobile court due to it’s illegal operation. At the same time, the authorities were fined one lakh Taka.
On Monday (24 June) afternoon, Rangpur District Administration Executive Magistrate Mahmud Hassan Mridha ordered the hospital to be sealed and fined. Members of Rangpur Metropolitan Police were present at the time.
Executive Magistrate Mridha said that the Seva Hospital authorities could not show any valid documents during the raid. They did not have any minimum conditions for running a hospital or clinic. But for a long time, they were conducting medical treatment illegally by avoiding the eyes of the law. Common people were deceived by this. Earlier, the authorities were alerted by raiding the hospital. But they did not fulfill any conditions.
Executive Magistrate Vritha also said that the owner was not present during the raid. Acting manager Rakibul Hasan paid a fine of one lakh taka.
The doctors of that hospital were also not registered. I found a doctor named Nazmul Alam Shubo there. His MBBS degree is ok. Some put fake degrees on the signboards. Civil Surgeon office will take action in that regard.
Mridha said that all such illegal clinics and hospitals will be closed in the name of medical services.
