The Khulna City Corporation (KCC) authorities have given charges to 31 officers to provide citizen service at all 31 wards from Sunday.

Two notifications were issued regarding the matter signed by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of KCC Laskar Tazul Islam last evening, an official release said.

The KCC authority has taken the decision considering the suffering of people in collecting different certificates and civic services, it said.

City dwellers of KCC's 31 wards have been requested to collect their necessary certificates from the respective officials, it said.

The action will be taken against those who would unnecessary harass any citizen after accepting written complaint.

Earlier, the Local Government Division (LGD) had removed city corporations' mayors in the country and given additional charges to the divisional commissioners to provide services on August 19. The LGD also had relieved councilors of all city corporations on September 26.
