At least 29 people were injured when a bus overturned on the road at Sadar upazila in Joypurhat district on Friday (28 April).
The accident happened in the Gatan Rastar Mor area of the town early in the morning.
Police said after the Eid holidays, a bus named Anas Paribahan was going to Dhaka carrying passengers from different areas of Panchagarh, Thakurgaon and Dinajpur. At that time, the bus lost control and overturned on the road when it came into that area, leaving 29 passengers of the bus injured.
Later, police and fire service members rescued the injured and admitted them to Joypurhat Hospital.
Joypurhat Sadar Police Station officer-in-charge Sirajul Islam confirmed the matter.
