The village is located 15 kilometers away from the district headquarters and is named after its famous litchi fruit. The fruit is an early variety and is available in the market 15 days before other litchis, making it a popular choice for buyers. The taste of Mangalbaria litchi is unmatched, and its appearance is eye-catching with beautiful, juicy purple fruit hanging from every tree.

The bumper crop of traditional Mangalbaria litchi this season has brought joy to farmers and buyers alike. The litchi is famous both in Bangladesh and abroad for its red color and delicious taste. The farmers are hopeful of selling 10 crore worth of litchi from over 30,000 trees this season. Litchi cultivation is the main occupation of most people in the village.
