The three-day program commemorating Lalon's 133rd Tirodhan Day began on Tuesday at Lalon Akhra in Chheuria, in the district. Various events are planned to emphasize Lalon's philosophy, an event initiated by Lalon himself. Devotees and followers from near and far have gathered around Fakir Lalon's shrine, along the riverbanks of Kali, singing songs and creating a vibrant atmosphere at Lalan Mela.

Visiting Lalon Akhrabari during Fakir Lalon Shah's 133rd Tirodhan Day, one can witness thousands of devotees and followers who have come from various places. They engage in song sessions, and the entire Lalan Mela resonates with Lalon's songs. Temporary shelters have been set up near Lalon Fakir's shrine, in the fields, and along the banks of the river Kali. A rural fair takes place on the riverbank, with traders setting up various stalls in the vicinity.

In addition to singing, attendees engage in discussions about Lalan Fakir's teachings day and night. Many people take the initiation of following Lalan's path. Devotees coming to Saiji's Dham experience a sense of self-purification and liberation through the exchange of emotions, all while remembering the spiritual guru, Fakir Lalon, and his vision.

The three-day Lalon Mela, organized by Lalon Academy in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Kushtia District Administration, began on Tuesday in honor of Tirodhan Day. Thousands of Lalon's admirers have gathered at Lalon Akhrabari for this festival. This year's Lalon Mela carries the theme of Fakir Lalon Shah's immortal saying, "Manush Bajle I will become a man of gold."

Fakir Lalon Shah, known as Lalan, passed away on 1 Kartik 1890 in Chheuria village of Chapra union in Kumarkhali upazila, a suburb of Kushtia. The Lalon Academy has been organizing the Lalon Mela on 1 Kartik every year.

Devotees and followers of Lalan express their enthusiasm about the three-day Lalan fair during Tirodhan Day. Thousands of fans and followers have arrived from distant places, and the entire area reverberates with Lalon Fakir's songs.

Visitors to the Lalon Mela have lauded the event, appreciating the beauty of Lalan Bhakta-followers' shelters and guru-disciples. Audiences gather to listen to their singing, and extensive security measures have been put in place throughout the area to ensure safety. The captivating melodies of Lalan Fakir's songs fill the air.

Kushtia's Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime), Palash Kanti Nath, has stated that security has been reinforced in the shrine premises and its surroundings during the Lalon Mela. Police, RAB, and plainclothes law enforcement personnel have been deployed, and the shrine area is covered by CCTV cameras.
