Economic turbulence reduces growth by slowing investment and affects commodity prices. As a result, inflation occurs in the economy. Establishing good governance in the country, achieving the desired growth, reducing inflation and creating employment is possible only when discipline is maintained in all branches of the economy. But it was never visible in our economy.

The absence of the above positive indicators in the economy means that we have not achieved the desired goal of establishing good governance in the society. According to economic analysts, due to lack of good governance, the country is repeatedly failing to come out of the existing crisis of the economy. Because we have not been able to hold the reins of corruption in both institutional and non-institutional sectors.

In an emerging economy, the presence of such negative indicators may persist in the short term for several reasons. However, it is also possible to eliminate it with the foresight of the government, proper working methods, management skills, transparency in resource management and people's involvement.

Corruption in our country has accumulated money to a handful of groups or individuals. And, the accumulated money in foreign currency is illegally smuggled abroad and the money is laundered in various ways.

Even if there is no shortage of food products in the country, why are the prices of all daily products so high! Corruption is also behind it. Market syndicates are active in increasing the prices of goods. People's pockets are cut by unethical and illegal price hike for high profits which is clearly a crime.

Corruption is the root cause of all the problems in our economy. Corruption is not just happening now. Its black history is long. Unremedied for a long time, corruption has seeped into the very marrow of our society. As a result, it is not possible to become corruption free overnight. However, the government should do whatever it takes to reduce corruption to at least a tolerable level in all cases.

Eradication of corruption must start from the top. Starting from the top level of every administrative system, it will take time to gradually reach the marginal level. Although we do not have such strict control over other regulators of the economy, corruption can be controlled if there is goodwill. If corruption is not controlled, the beautiful dreams of people in our economy will never be fulfilled.
