According to the US online news portal TechCrunch, Viktor Markopoulos, a researcher working in South Africa based Bitcrack Cyber Security said that, he accidentally discovered the leak on June 27. This includes their full names, phone numbers, email addresses and National Identification (NID) numbers. Viktor Markopoulos said, finding the data was too easy and it is still available online. It was retrieved by a simple SQL query. TechCrunch verified the claim of Viktor Markopoulos.
This breach of privacy not only violates individuals' fundamental rights but also carries severe consequences for both the affected citizens and the nation as a whole.
