Dhaka University authorities announced that it will hold classes virtually due to the prevailing heat wave condition.
DU public relations office issued a press release in this regard on Sunday (21 April).
"To avoid health risks due to the intense heat wave prevailing across the country, all classes of Dhaka University will be held online until further order and exams will continue as usual," the notice reads.
To lower the health risks, the university authorities also suggested students to wear white or light colour cotton clothes, to stay under shadows, use cap or umbrellas, carry water and saline while going out and not to drink tea or coffee.
