The Khulna University administration has taken the initiative to provide resting and sitting chairs for the parents waiting outside for the examinees in the scorching heat wave.
On Saturday (April 27), during the examination, the scene was seen at different places at Khulna University Center.
It is seen that the parents are spending time sitting in front of the main gate of KU after entering the examination center. Under the special initiative of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mahmood Hossain, seating chairs and drinking water were arranged at different points outside the campus to alleviate their sufferings.
A parent from Jessore said, "I have taken my child to many other places to take the test. But there was no arrangement to sit outside. But the administration of KU has taken a very good initiative in this regard. This thing has been much better for us. We can spend time outdoors. I applaud their initiative. Hopefully, this trend will continue in the future, she added.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mahmood Hossain said the guardians were given rest during the examination inside the university campus, considering the intense heatwave. As a result of the GST admission test, students and parents have saved money, and mental pain has been reduced. The VC also added that Khulna University is holding a bunch of examinations under more fair and disciplined management this year than in the past.
