The Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) is an annual exam organised worldwide by the Japan Foundation. In Bangladesh, it is jointly organized by the Japanese Universities Alumni Association in Bangladesh (JUAAB) and the Embassy of Japan.
This year, the exam took place on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at the permanent campus of the American International University Bangladesh (AIUB).
The JLPT was conducted in the presence of high officials from the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh, JUAAB President Prof. Dr. Md Khorshed Alam, Secretary Prof. Dr. Md Alamgir Hossain, other EC Members, and life members.
Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir, Chairman (In-charge) of UGC, also visited during the exam. Prof. Dr Abdur Rahman, Pro Vice Chancellor of AIUB, coordinated the exam on behalf of AIUB, while Prof. Dr Md Taufiqul Islam Mithil, Cultural Secretary of JUAAB and Professor at AIUB, served as the JLPT centre head at AIUB.
This is the second time in Bangladesh that more than ten thousand JLPT candidates have taken the exam. AIUB is delighted to have hosted the JLPT exam and expresses gratitude to the Japan Foundation, the Embassy of Japan, JUAAB EC, AIUB management, teachers, staff, and student volunteers.
