Following the fall of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's government, a wave of resignations has struck the Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) administration.
Among those who have stepped down are the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Emdadul Haque Chowdhury, along with the Acting Treasurer, the Coordinator of the Committee for Advanced Studies and Research, the Student Affairs Advisor and Associate Advisor, the Director of the Transport Department, and members of the Proctorial Body.
The resignations were confirmed on Sunday, August 11th, by Professor Dr. Md. Asaduzzaman Sarkar, General Secretary of the BAU Teachers' Association.
According to Dr. Sarkar, the proctorial body resigned on August 5th, immediately after the government’s fall. The resignation of Vice-Chancellor Dr. Emdadul Haque Chowdhury on August 11th brought the other resignations to light.
