Dhaka University Chhatra League is organizing a month-long free Iftar program at Madhur Canteen of Dhaka University. The Iftar program, which is open to the general students and people of University area, has received praise from the students and the public, with the Dhaka University Student League receiving accolades for this initiative.

Taking into account the inflation in the current market prices, this Iftar program is organized for 300 people every day. The free Iftar program is being coordinated by Tanvir Hasan Saikat, the General Secretary of Dhaka University Chhatra League.

On April 8th, it was observed that the general students of various halls of Dhaka University and the general public participated in the free Iftar program at Madhur Cantin.

Chhatra League activist Shakibul Islam Sujan said to The Daily Messenger, "Due to the inflationary pressure on prices, the daily Iftar of general students of the hall requires a lot of suffering. However, the general students and people of Dhaka University can satisfy themselves by coming to Madhu for Iftar every day."

Another volunteer Habibur Rahman Kanchan said to The Daily Messenger, "Feeding all elderly people together at the Madhur Canteen in the country amidst the current situation is a manifestation of the continuous sacrifice of the student community. If we get the opportunity, we will keep ourselves engaged in serving our beloved countrymen in this manner throughout our lives."

Total feeding program was inspired by General Secretary of Dhaka University Chhatra League Tanvir Hasan Saikat, they added.
