The Jagannath University Nil Dal formed a human chain to protest against threats to bury Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at a BNP rally in Rajshahi. The human chain was held on Wednesday (May 24) at the central Shaheed Minar premises of the university.

Meanwhile, the protestants demanded that BNP leader Abu Sayed Chand, who threatened to kill Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, be brought under the law and receive exemplary punishment.

The president of the Nil Dal, Rof. Dr. Nur Alam Abdullah, said that as part of the BNP's terrorist activities, their leader Abu Sayed Chand threatened to kill the Prime Minister. On August 15 and 21, communal forces and anti-liberation war spirit groups are active again. They are the enemies of the country and the nation; they should be suppressed with a strong hand, and the country should be weed-free.

University proctor professor Dr. Mustafa Kamal said that the BNP had turned Bangladesh into a militant state while in power. They want to make Bangladesh a state of Pakistani ideology again. So they have to resist this attempt.

On May 19, BNP held a rally in Rajshahi to protest the government's resignation, stop disappearance cases and mass arrests, protest against government corruption, and demand 10 points. Rajshahi district BNP convener Abu Sayed Chand threatened to kill the prime minister after that rally.
