The second phase of admission for the 2022-2023 academic year at Jahangirnagar University (JU) has ended, but 253 seats are still vacant in various faculties and institutes. Of these, 154 are for male students and 99 are for female students.

Syed Mohammad Ali Reza, Deputy Registrar (Academics) of JU, confirmed the matter and said, "Even after the second phase of admission, 154 seats for male students and 99 seats for female students are still vacant. We have already published the merit list for the third phase of admission on the university's admission website. However, a few units are still pending, and I hope they will be published tonight."

The students on the merit list for the third phase of admission must complete the online admission process from October 7 to 10, 12 midnight. They must then submit the necessary documents in person at the university's academic office from October 10 to 11, 9am to 3:30pm, to confirm their admission. If the admission process is not completed within the stipulated time, the admission will be cancelled and the seats will be considered vacant and filled from the waiting list.

It is worth mentioning that JU received 2,49,857 applications for 1,844 undergraduate (honours) seats in the first year of the 2022-2023 academic year.
