Amitabh Reza in Osaka for  ‘Rickshaw Girl’ screening

Director Amitabh Reza and producer Asaduzzaman Sakal have reached Japan to attend the Osaka Asian Film Festival as part of a plan to promote this year's Bangladeshi movie ‘Rickshaw Girl’.

As Japan's Osaka Asian Film Festival got underway on March 1st, a symposium is set to be held at the F-1 Hall of Osaka Nakanoshima Art Museum.
A total of 22 Japanese students completed the subtitling of this year's Bangladeshi movie ‘Rickshaw Girl’ successfully.

It is known that in addition to March 1 and 2, the screening of Rickshaw Girl in Osaka, Japan will be held on March 4 at Cine Rebel Umeda cinema hall. The screening will, however, be free for the first 130 viewers.

An event to this effect was held on Saturday (March 2) in presence of Amitabh Reza and producer Asaduzzaman Sakal.
First released in 2021, ‘Rickshaw Girl’ has already been screened at dozens of festivals, and the movie has been awarded in several countries including Germany and Belgium.

The movie is set to be released in Bangladesh in April this year.

Incidentally, the screenplay of the film has been written by Nasif Farooq Amin.

The story revolves around the life struggle of a girl named Naima. Due to the urge of life and love for rickshaw painting, the girl once emerged as a rickshaw puller herself.

Several famous actors and actresses had their acting role in the movie wherein the notable leads are Novera Rahman, Allen Shubhro, Nasir Uddin Khan, Champa and many others.
