Isfatara Kaisar Roni, hailing from Mymensingh, has advanced to the final round of 'Channel i Shera Kontho 2023' after receiving scores from special judge Runa Laila, and chief judges Rezwana Choudhury Bonna and Samina Chowdhury, in addition to garnering the highest number of SMS votes.
Even before the grand finale of this popular musical reality show, Roni's first original song is set to be released during the upcoming Eid. The song, written and composed by Khairul Wasi, is currently in production, with Roni diligently working on its creation.
Roni said, “The grand finale of Shera Kontho 2023 was slated for the end of last year, but it has yet to take place. Nonetheless, we remain hopeful for its imminent realization. Izaj Khan Swapan, the director and head of this project, harbours many aspirations for us, envisioning our establishment in the music industry through our compositions.”
“Meanwhile, I am focused on my debut original song, crafted by Khairul Wasi. Recording sessions are scheduled for next week, and with the grace of Almighty, the song will be released during the upcoming Eid. I am truly enamoured by the song's lyrics and melody."
Roni commenced her musical journey under the guidance of Ustad Hatem Ali, a revered mentor in traditional music. Subsequently, she pursued her academic passion, completing her Honours in Music and a Master's in Folk Music from Kazi Nazrul Islam University.
Roni served as a music instructor at Comilla Nazrul Institute for seven years.
Following the release of her debut original song during the upcoming Eid, Roni eagerly anticipates immersing herself in the creation of more original compositions after the Eid. Among the artistes who have made it to the grand finale of Shera Kontho 2023 this time, Roni is dreaming of going a long way with her talent.
