Dhallywood megastar Shakib Khan is all set to make theatres tremble with his highly anticipated film 'Toofan' (The Storm) this Eid-ul-Azha. Joining him are Chanchal Chowdhury, Nabila, Indian actress Mimi Chakraborty and others.

The teaser and songs from 'Toofan' have already generated tremendous excitement among audiences at home and abroad even before release. Theatre authorities across the country have been going into a frenzy over the film. The only formality remaining was getting the censor clearance before its theatrical release.

On Wednesday, the production house behind 'Toofan' received the censor certificate from the authorities, removing the last hurdle for the Raihan Rafi-directed film's release. Sharhiar Shakil, owner of Alpha I, the production company, confirmed the news to media.

According to the production house, the much-awaited 'Toofan', which has huge audience demand, recently went through the censorship process as required. After viewing on Tuesday, the censor board members unanimously decided to issue an uncut certificate. An elated 'Toofan' team received the censor certificate on Wednesday.

“The craze among general audiences and theatre owners for 'Toofan' is inspiring," said the managing director of Alpha I Studios Ltd, expressing gratitude to the censor board authorities and members. He also thanked the information ministry, NBR, BFDC and others for their cooperation, as well as digital partner Chorki and international distributor SVF.

The production house states, "Megastar Shakib Khan, along with Chanchal Chowdhury, Mimi Chakraborty, Nabila and others, are coming to rock the theatres this Eid with director Raihan Rafi's 'Toofan'. We are hopeful 'Toofan' will create a storm among audiences.”
