Arshad Adnan, producer of the superhit film 'Priyotoma', has been elected as the new President of the Television Program Producers Association of Bangladesh (TELEPAB). Adnan has also produced numerous popular dramas previously.
During the bi-annual conference held on Saturday at the Banani Club in the capital, the new committee with Adnan as president and Shazzad Hossain Dodul as general secretary was announced. They will serve for the 2024-26 term.
Newly elected president Arshad Adnan said, “In the digital age, YouTube content is being broadcast without following any guidelines. My first task after taking charge will be to bring this under a policy framework. We will sit together with everyone and bring everything under the guidelines. Secondly, you are aware that for a long time, a number of producers have outstanding payments due from Ekushey Television. We will send them a letter. We will work to protect the interests of the producers.”
