After a long hiatus, Ziaul Faruq Apurba, one of the best actors of recent times, and Rana Khan, a National Film Award-winning actress, have once again paired up for a tele-drama titled ‘Outsider’. The duo has previously worked together on multiple projects.
Written by Mesbah Uddin Sumon, the tele-drama is directed by Rubel Hasan, whose previous tele-drama ‘Priyo Paribar’ was well-received during Eid-al-Fitr. Apurba played the lead role in the drama.
The story of ‘Outsider’ revolves around the various problems a child faces after the separation of their parents. Muntaha plays the role of Apurba and Runa's daughter in the drama, while Tatini plays another important role.
The shooting of the drama has been completed at a shooting house in the Uttara area of the capital.
Regarding his acting in the drama, Apurba said, “I have acted in tele-dramas ‘Jadio Sandhya’ and ‘Pather Prante’ with Runa Khan before. She is undoubtedly a good actress and has received praise for her performance in films, winning the National Film Award. I enjoyed working with Runa again on a close-to-life story in ‘Outsider’. I hope the audience will like the tele-drama.”
Runa Khan shared her experience of working in ‘Outsider’, “This is my first project under the direction of Rubel Hasan. I found his experience in making tele-drama to be quite good, and he tried to film the scenes with proper understanding. My experience of working with Apurba is always great. Apurba works sincerely and gives proper respect to his fellow artistes. That is why Apurba is Apurba. Working with him again after a long time was very enjoyable. Besides, Tatini is doing very well. I believe that her future will be much better if she works attentively.”
The tele-drama ‘Outsider’ will soon be aired on Channel I.
