Filmmaker Goutam Koiri’s directorial debut 'Antonagar' premiered on the popular OTT platform Chorki on Friday. The film consists of a collection of stories.
The film features Shamol Mawla, Runa Khan, Shohel Mondol, Sabnam Faria, Ashish Khandakar, Prantar Dastider, Nidra Neha, Joy Raj, and Nafees Ahmed, among others, in different roles.
Shamol Mawla, who plays the role of a CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver in the film, said, "It was a bit challenging for me to act in this film because I had to drive a CNG-run auto-rickshaw every day. Due to the continuous driving, my hands developed blisters. I enjoyed working with actress Runa Khan as a co-artiste. The story of the film is quite unique."
Runa Khan is seen in a Chorki production for the first time. "Shamol and Joy Razda were my co-stars in the film. Both of them are talented actors. Every filmmaker tries to showcase their story in their own way. From that perspective, the storytelling style of this film is different. I hope the audience enjoys it very much," she said.
Shohel Mondol plays an important role in 'Antonagar'. He said, "I have had a connection with Goutam Koiri for many years. He is a very friendly director. The entire team was creative, so the work experience was great. Sabnam Faria is a meticulous artist, which made my shooting experience very funny and enjoyable. It is a story about the people around us. Love, betrayal, and thrill are all present. It's a great story, but let's see how the audience will receive it."
Actress Sabnam Faria said, "I have previously worked with everyone who acted in this film. I have been working with actress Runa Khan for a long time. Actors Shamol Mawal and Shohel Mondol are all my favorite co-artistes. So, the experience of working with them has been quite good. The story portrays the struggle of a woman. I am very confident about this film. Chorki always brings good stories of different genres. From that perspective, the expectation for this film is very high."
Director Goutam Koiri said, "'Antonagar' is my debut film. I have experienced mixed feelings. All the actors have given their best to portray their characters. The audience will be introduced to two new debutants in this film. Their dedication level deserves appreciation."
The cinematography of 'Antonagar' was done by Rafiqul Islam, while HM Sohel edited the film. The music for the film was composed by Zahid Nirab.
