Arshad Adnan, a renowned producer in the country’s tele-drama and cinema arena, has once again proven his prowess. For more than a decade, he has been associated with the essential needs of the industry through his production company, Versatile Media.
A few years ago, he achieved a remarkable feat by producing 12 tele-dramas with 12 directors in Cox's Bazar, setting a record. During that time, he chartered a flight to transport around 50 artists from Dhaka to Cox's Bazar.
Arshad Adnan's contributions go beyond tele-drama production. He has also produced movies like 'Sultana Bibiana' and 'Utern.' However, his latest endeavour, 'Priyotoma,' has created a significant impact on Bangladesh's film industry. Released during the Eid-ul-Azha holiday, the film, directed by Himel Ashraf, features Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan and Indian Bengali actress Idhika Paul in lead roles. Since its first day of release, 'Priyotoma' has garnered immense attention both domestically and internationally, capturing the interest of audiences.
In 2023, 'Priyotoma' has not only gained recognition but has also demonstrated impressive business acumen. It has surpassed the success of many recent movies in terms of revenue. It is estimated that 'Priyotoma' has already generated substantial earnings and is projected to continue doing so. As the film continues to be screened across various countries, its financial success is anticipated to grow further.
However, the journey to the film's release wasn't without challenges. Prior to its release, there were various controversies and conspiracies to hinder its launch. A letter was sent to the Revenue Board questioning the validity of the necessary work permits for Indian artists, but Arshad Adnan and his team diligently followed all legal procedures to ensure the film's smooth release.
Arshad Adnan expressed his gratitude, saying, "I am expressing immense gratitude to Almighty Allah. I am grateful to all viewers, especially the female audience, and also to the fans of Shakib. 'Priyotoma' faced various obstacles, including censorship concerns, but we adhered to all government regulations and worked with integrity, ultimately preventing any obstruction."
Arshad Adnan also praised Shakib Khan's dedication, as the actor put in tremendous effort for the film. Adnan expressed his gratitude to all the crew members, the artists, and everyone involved in making 'Priyotoma' a reality. He also noted that the film's success is just the beginning and expressed confidence in its future achievements.
Looking ahead, Arshad Adnan revealed his plans to collaborate once again with Shakib Khan for the movie 'Rajkumar,' a project that's already generating anticipation in the industry.
