The shooting of the government-funded film 'Digante Fuler Agun,' starring popular actress Bidya Sinha Mim and directed by Wahid Tarek, has successfully been completed.
The film's narrative is centred around the life of the martyred intellectual, writer, and politician Shahidullah Kaiser. In this cinematic endeavour, Mim will portray the role of the eminent writer, researcher, and intellectual, Professor Panna Kaiser, the wife of Shahidullah Kaiser.
When discussing the choice of Bidya Sinha Mim for the pivotal role of Panna Kaiser in the movie, Shomi Kaiser, the daughter of Panna Kaiser and producer of the film, said, "To be honest, my mother was an ordinary village girl who had a slightly taller stature and physique. I believe that Mim embodies these characteristics perfectly, and she is undeniably a talented actress. That's why we cast Mim as my mother, Panna Kaiser."
Reflecting on her role as Panna Kaiser, Mim expressed, "It’s undeniable that I have been an admirer of Shomi Kaiser’s performances since my childhood. I've been captivated by her acting in numerous projects. Her smile, words, and overall persona have left a lasting impression on me. When the esteemed artiste, Shomi Kaiser, approached me about portraying the character of Panna Kaiser and mentioned that she hadn't considered anyone else for this role, I readily accepted the offer without hesitation."
"I feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to tackle such a challenging role. I’ve given my best effort to do justice to the character of Panna Kaiser. I can't say how well I performed, but I can certainly say that I put my heart and soul into it. I believe that this film will be another significant milestone in my acting career. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Shomi Kaiser, the director, and the entire film team," the actress added.
Panna Kaiser had passed away August 4 this year before the commencement of filming for this movie, making the portrayal even more poignant and significant for Bidya Sinha Mim.
