The new play "King Gilgamesh" jointly produced by Faridpur Theater and Bagerhat Theater, one of the theater groups of South Bengal, which is the friend of Bangladesh's theater movement.
It is going to be staged on Friday (15 September) at the Experimental Theater Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. On this day the play has opening show at 4.30 pm and a second show at 7.30 pm. The play is based on Gilgamesh, the main character of the Mesopotamian myth-based epic of history.
The play “King Gilgamesh” is written by Tushar Roy and directed by Shamim Ahmed. Note that Tushar Roy and Shamim Ahmed are dedicated workers of Faridpur theatre. Other dramas directed by Shamim Ahmed include Matiyal, Mukti, Ekattarer Nader Chand and Gunin Akhyan, besides directing, he also signed his talent by acting in Faridpur Theater-produced dramas Thirteen Shatabdi, Kajalrekha, Dakghar, Matiyal and Maimo drama Jadur Pradwipa.
