The two-day long `Wisdom Fair 2024’ was held 29 February to 1 March at Justice Shahabuddin Ahmed Park, Gulshan-2, from 10 am to 9 pm. It combines psychology and art to demonstrate how one can express his/her repressed emotions.
On Thursday (29 February) the fair was inaugurated by the Mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Atiqul Islam. Followed by a panel discussion by the Chief Guest Siobhan Kerr, First Secretary of the Canadian High Commission along with Md. Salim Hossain, (Associate Professor Department of Psychology, University of Dhaka) and Danny Amin from MajhaMajhi was present there.
On the occasion, there was a Panel Dedication, Sound Therapy, and Magic Show performing arts, Generational Trauma play, Coffee Counseling, Social Conditioning play, Meditation & Mindfulness sessions, Live Acoustic performances, Love language tests and other art installations.
First Secretary Siobhan Kerr said, Such initiatives are very necessary for the mental and social development of people and the Canadian High Commission will always cooperate in such events.
Danny Amin said, We are happy to organize such a psychological art event and aspire to conduct similar ones in every district in the near future.
This event aims to break the chain, fostering awareness about sexual and mental trauma and offering solutions for individuals to overcome these challenges and improve their lives.
The Fair 2024 was funded by the Canada Fund for Local Initiative, a project of the Canadian High Commission. The program was implemented by Majhamajhi and Moulovi Abdul Hye Memorial Trust (MAHM).
