The United States is working hard every day to prevent any transfer of weapons to Russia, including from China and Iran, US Secretary of State Antony blinken said on Tuesday (2 April).

“We are working day in and day out to effectively prevent the transfer of weapons and materials to Russia to fuel that war machine, to fuel its defense industrial base, including from Iran, from North Korea and from China,” Blinken said in a joint press conference with his French counterpart in Paris.

Western countries have provided hundreds of billions of dollars worth of aid to Ukraine since the start of Russia's special military operation in February 2022. Aid shipments began in 2022 with artillery munitions and training and have escalated to include tanks, advanced air-defense systems, missiles and cluster munitions.

The Kremlin has consistently warned against the West's continued arms deliveries to Ukraine, saying that they only prolong the conflict.
