The United States and South Korea are ramping up their aerial reconnaissance against North Korea, which poses a serious threat to Pyongyang’s security, North Korean Vice-Minister of Defense Kim Kang Il has said.
"Various air spying means of the U.S. and the ROK puppet air force are openly intensifying their hostile air espionage against the DPRK recently," the vice-minister was quoted as saying .
From May 13-24 Pyongyang registered 16 US aircraft which were allegedly involved in reconnaissance activities against it, the minister said. By conducting such activities, the US and South Korea are "encroaching upon the sovereignty and security" of North Korea, he added.
